A DRUNKEN fisherman crashed the boat he worked on after nicking it to sail 30 miles to a music festival. The Sun Scotland

Lee Campbell took the Ocean Maid prawn trawler for the journey from Oban to the isle of Mull after missing a ferry.

The 22-year-old and a pal took a huge carry-out along - and safely negotiated the three-hour trip.

But when he attempted the return journey the next day he smashed into the CalMac ferry he'd missed, as well as another boat.

Prewar steam yacht Nahlin goes on her sea trials...Liverpool Echo

THE 1930 steam super-yacht Nahlin, berthed for several years at Liverpool’s Sandon Dock , is now on sea trials. This astonishing 296ft-long prewar survivor, one of the three biggest UK-built steam yachts, was shipped from the Mersey on a barge in 2005 for a £16m refit at Nobiskrug specialist yacht builders, at Rendsburg, Kiel Canal, Germany. Final completion was at Blohm & Voss shipyard, Hamburg, with diesel engines replacing her old steam turbines.

A search and rescue operation is being carried out for a British couple who have disappeared while sailing their yacht in the Seychelles. Paul and Rachel Chandler, aged 58 and 55, of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, were heading for Tanzania in their yacht, the Lynn Rival. They sent a distress signal on Friday but have not been heard from since. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has contacted the couple's family
