Neptune marina
Written by galeus | 5th Jan 2024
As of 2023 Neptune marina became part of ABP Beacon marina and it's fate as yet is unknown.
Update April 2023
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 13th Apr 2023
Ipswich Haven now goes by the name Ipswich Beacon Marina but their website doesn't contain much advice.
Debbage yachting
Written by rupertemerson | 26th Jul 2022
If you can take the ground, this is the bargain basement option. Location is very convenient for the railway station and you can still hob nob with the fancy crowd at the main marina. If sitting munching tapas and you get chatting to the in-crowd and they ask where you are moored just point vaguely. If you arrive at the river mouth at low tide, stop off at Harwich Hapenny Pier for an ice cream (or fish and chips), then mosey up the lovely Orwell to enter the New Cut up to 3 hours before HW.

SYH Staples/Cleats
Written by White Rose | 23rd Jun 2022
Please note SYH is not exclusively fitted with cleats, there are still staples in the W basin, but I believe none elsewhere.
A welcome additon this year is a new cafe serving sandwiches, cakes, drinks etc in the old security hut at the entrance.
Update May 2022
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 26th May 2022
I reviewed these notes in late May 2022. All the facilities have increased their prices but little else has changed.
UPDATE SPRING 2021
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 28th Apr 2021
I reviewed these notes near the end of April 2021. There are no changes to speak of apart from the prices. We believe the pub at Levington has reopened.
SYH update
Written by Orwellian | 18th Apr 2019
All pontoons now have cleats, the rings have gone in a series of upgrades.
The pub in Levington has had (another) fire and its expected to be closed until well into the summer.

Update Spring 2019
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 9th Apr 2019
These notes were reviewed in April 2019. Not a lot changes here now; prices have increased across the board (with the exception of Neptune Marina in Ipswich) MDL at Woolverstone have new prices in the pipeline but are being coy about publishing them. Not sure about Capn Niks lost water tap (below) - maybe you could get a fill up at the pub?
Pin Mill
Written by Bryant | 21st Aug 2017
Here are a few updates for Pinmill on the River Orwell on the East Coast
uk. Has a good half tide pontoon that permits clean tender landings. No
water tap found only the mark in the wall where it was.

Cheers

Update 2015
Written by dononshytalk | 4th Mar 2015
These notes were updated by Don in March 2105. Prices have increased a little across the board and where you need to add on VAT I have mentioned it. Wolverstone has not yet decided on it's 2015 prices and will be updated later.
Update 2013
Written by dononshytalk | 4th Apr 2013
These notes were updated by Don T on the 4th April 2013. Few changes and prices have been updated for the 2013 season, though it's worth noting that many of the marinas have held their prices for the coming year. If fuel is a problem it's worth dropping in to Wolverstone Marina who do diesel and allow you to drop in for a top up without charging mooring fees.
