UPDATE JULY 2022
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 21st Jul 2022
I reviewed these notes in July 2022. No changes and, as you can see from the note below, a nice place to visit.
Very friendly and easy access harbour

Stuart Barclay the berthing officer is fantastic and super friendly - he motored around trying to find a spare part for me. All the details are on https://www.tayportharbour.org.uk
Recommend you book well in advance as there is only one official visitor berth on a hammer head.
We draw 1.6m and easily entered and departed at half tide.
Really good clean shower / loo.
Another fantastic resource is David Anderson Marine - 01382 541848 for chandlery / assistance / repairs / anything to do with navigating the Tay.
We anchored between the Bridges, at Newburgh (half way up the Tay) and at Perth under the M90 bridge.
Fantastic area to explore.

I reviewed these notes in June 2021. Payment at the Bellrock hotel is no longer and option. They have replaced the middle pontoon.
