Skegness Yacht Club

We are a small yacht club based on the banks of the tidal River Steeping within Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, which is a very beautiful location.

It as also often refered to as Wainfleet Haven.

Access is good in all wind directions and is accessible 1 1/2 hours each side of HW on spring range tides 6m + Standard port Immingham. + 20 minutes

With approximately 30 sailing boats ranging in size between 20-35 feet in length and a membership of about 65 people and have basic facilities of a small clubhouse, galley, showers and mooring jetties with a fresh water supply available and visitors are always welcome to use our designated visitors moorings jetty's.

We are a very friendly and active club, organising club sailing weekends every other week to locations within the Humber, Norfolk and The Wash area, including Wells Next The Sea, Brancaster, Blakeney, King's Lynn, Wisbech and Fosdyke Bridge and often further afield.

We encourage sailing in company, which helps the less experienced sailing members to gain confidence and experience sailing together. This has been a great success the last few years with up to 12 boats all out for a weekend's sailing.

Gibraltar Point is an excellent place to be based with over 15 other ports and harbours within reach in a day and a good location for cruising further afield.

In the last couple of years when the shipping forecast areas were changed it may of helped and put us on the map, as the area is now Whitby to Gibraltar Point.
