There are no visitors' berths, as 2 of the pontoons have been shut due to bridge construction. This will probably continue til 2025. The remaining pontoons are for local boats only.

Kilmore Quay- Waterford Harbour
Written by Fiona Balloch | 7th Jun 2023
I aimed to reach the Hook at LW and in the end got there 90 mins before LW. Kilmore quay HM said we'd left too late...

Got to the Hook, which marks the entrance to Waterford Harbour, 90 mins earlier than planned after sunny, calm gybe, with one reef, down the coast, filled with long, long sandy beaches and low-lying land.

Passed recommended anchorages (sandy beach of Dollar Bay at Broomhill Point, and Buttermilk Point opposite Cheek Point, with old wooden fishing boat wreck on mud).

I reviewed these notes in October 2022. No changes were necessary, but we've talked to the HM at Waterford and he has explained the delay to their promised footbridge.
UPDATE SUMMER 2021
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 16th Sep 2021
I reviewed these notes in September 2021. The new footbridge at Waterford (promised for so long) is about to be built so we have added it to the chartlet. Everything else remains the same
Update Summer 2019
Written by Don Thomson 3 | 30th Jul 2019
These notes were reviewed in July 2019. The building of a pedestrian bridge at Waterford has been delayed for a "couple of months" so will not effect leisure operations this season. Prices remain the same and I've put up new Charts
UPDATE APRIL 2017

I reviewed these notes in April 2017. I've updated the charts but no other changes.
Update 2015
Written by dononshytalk | 23rd Apr 2015
These notes were reviewed by Don in April 2015. We've updated the prices for Waterford itself. The anchorage mentioned by "yachtman" below could be North or South of the ferry across the Kings Channel to the castle. Thanks for the heads up about the depths; last surveyed in the 1990s.

Waterford Marina is run by the town council. Mooring fee payable at the council office, a short walk away, who also arrange insertion of your mobile phone number into the gate entry system. Mooring inside the pontoon is more than adequate for 2 meter draft .

Lovely safe anch in kings channel above the wire ferry. depths after the ferry seemed lower than charted where i sampled them.
Update December 2013
Written by dononshytalk | 12th Dec 2013
These notes were reviewed on the 12th December 2013. Very little has changed apart from the Wifi at the City Marina. Prices have gone up a bit.
