FULL PRODUCT SUPPORT WINDOW  is officially 12 months from date of purchase, (and we often will extend to 18 months to deal with update issues).  Full support includes phone and email support, and even product repair/replacement. We stand by our products.

Whoever is at fault, if this happens within 12 months of purchase, we will sort it out and leave you with a fully working product to your satisfaction.

Conclusion:  For those who demand ongoing product support years down the line, including ongoing chart updates, new for old replacements, software swaps, transfer to new machines, plus ongoing phone and email support...  You need a subscription service rather than a buy and keep product.  And we may well develop that.
